Only a mind that is turned inward can truly experience the beauty and vastness of the Supreme Consciousness. When the mind is centered and calm, it can turn inward. We “die” in a sense, as our ego fades into the Supreme Consciousness, as it gets unavoidably absorbed by the sacred sound. The mantra dissolves us into unison, which is the essence of spiritual liberation. ![]() In addition, through repetition, the Shanti mantra washes over us, like the waves in the sea slowly get us wet. Moreover, through daily repetition of the mantra, patterns of sound are inscribed onto the brain of the reciter.
